We’re looking for Drywall Taper who wants to join our Drywall Company and help us build amazing projects for our Calgary and Area clients. We need candidates who have the skill and experience to lead a build team from start to completion, often managing multiple build sites at any one time.
Qualifications & Skills:
- No degree, certificate or diploma
- Candidates must have 1 – 2 years of experience in the Drywall Taping, Mudding & Sanding
- Must have knowledge of Drywall, Taping, Mudding, Sanding and Steel Framing
- Be self-motivated and a good communicator
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Clean and prepare surfaces
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
- Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets
- Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Salary: $20-$25 per hour or Sq. Feet price
Terms of Employment:
- Start date is negotiable for the right candidate
- 3 – months trial probation followed by a performance review
- Company will provide company vehicle
- Competitive compensation, based on experience
- 8 – 10 hours shift
- Monday to Friday
