Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000
Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technologist
Mirus International Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technologist at 31 Sun Pac Boulevard, Brampton, Ontario, L6S 5P6. The successful candidate must have experience working in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities
· Perform electrical design and development of new Mirus products and accessory control equipment and power systems
· Create production ready bills of materials, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
· Analyze power systems and electrical one-line diagrams.
· Lead the design and implementation of electrical upgrades within the manufacturing facility and test lab.
· Become proficient in the application of all Mirus products, passive/active harmonic filters, sinewave filters, harmonic mitigating transformers, neutral blocking reactors, Insight power meter, capacitor contactor switching, surge suppression systems, etc.
· Support Sales and Application Engineering with costing, tendering and submittals
· Support Power Electronics Engineering with product development (ie. Active Power Filter) and design
· Generate and lead cost-savings initiatives for the company.
· Support Production: work order, bill of material and drawing troubleshooting
· Responsible for supplier coordination, part specifications and part substitution from an Engineering perspective and provide guidance to Procurement.
· Support Planning with shop floor Engineering support and expediting
· Support Customer Service with field installation troubleshooting, concerns and questions, retrofit kits and installation procedures
· Support Customer Service / Sales with field service travel to assist with onsite installation, power quality testing/reporting and troubleshooting
· Support Pretest / Final Test processes, special projects and upgrades
· Support Manufacturing Engineering processes, special projects and upgrades
· Adhere to ISO9001-2015 standards and requirements that pertain to all aspects of your job responsibilities.
· Adhere to industry certification standards: CSA, UL, ABS, CEC, NEC
Education / Experience Required:
· Post-Secondary Education bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred
· 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in a related engineering or technical role.
Skill Requirements
· Core Electrical Engineering knowledge: electrical systems, circuits and components, single-phase control, three-phase power quality and distribution, VFDs, inductor and capacitor fundamentals, transformer fundamentals, line/load reactor fundamentals
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and internal teams.
· Complex problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Multitasking ability to handle multiple projects
· Willingness to learn and adapt to current technologies
· Proficiency with power quality monitoring equipment and software tools
· Familiarity with AutoCAD
