Overview Our client, Nexco Construction Company is growing and seeking an ambitious and results‑driven Senior Project Manager based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The role involves leading civil construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout, overseeing planning, execution, financial performance, and client management.
Key Responsibilities Lead successful delivery of civil construction projects from pre‑construction through completion and closeout.
Develop, manage and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts and resource plans.
Oversee project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities to maximize profitability.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with contract requirements and quality standards.
Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Review drawings, specifications, contracts,



and change orders to proactively identify challenges and solutions.
Lead project meetings, communicate progress updates, and provide strategic direction to field teams.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, operational efficiencies, and enhanced project delivery.
Qualifications 5+ years of progressive experience in civil construction project management.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and project controls.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, priorities, budgets, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver’s license.
