Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Licensed Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Richmond, BC. The ideal candidate will have a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics License and Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving history.

Job Title: Red Seal Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic

Location: Richmond, BC

Pay Rate: $49.40/hour

Job Description

Diagnose and repair on‑/off‑road and heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventive maintenance schedules, ensure proper function, and meet vehicle safety and quality goals

Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))

Communicate concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager





Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers

Qualifications

Certified Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license

Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 preferred)

3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required

Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems & procedures

The ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical problems with minimum vehicle downtime

Demonstrated ability to work alone in fast paced setting

A clear driving history and criminal history

Must be able to perform annual safeties (CVIP)
