We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This position requires a blend of familiarity to dental terminology and administrative skills, making it essential for the candidate to be organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused.
Duties
- Assist in welcoming patients and exiting when treatments are completed. Explain the treatment provided, Insurance billing, collecting patient portions.
- Explain the treatment plan and procedures. Book patients for treatments and follow up.
- Process Insurance Payments and managing collections.
- Treatment coordination for all major treatments.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining office supplies.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Managing Hygiene Re-care Program
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems; experience with Gold Dental Management / Open Dental is preferred but not required.
- Solid understanding of Dental terminology related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with phone systems and front desk operations in a dental office setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a dental office or similar role is an advantage but not mandatory.
