Thai Lemongrass Restaurant is a family-run Thai restaurant where good food and warm hospitality bring people together. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic server to join our team.
We work closely together, support one another during busy service, and take pride in making every guest feel welcome. If you enjoy working with people and being part of a welcoming restaurant team, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, seat them, and present menus.
- Explain menu items, answer questions about dishes and spice levels, and recommend food and beverages.
- Take accurate orders using our POS system and clearly communicate allergies, dietary requirements, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Serve food and alcoholic beverages promptly and professionally.
- Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures, including checking identification when required.
- Check on guests throughout their meals and address questions or concerns politely.
- Prepare accurate bills and process cash and card payments.
- Set, clear, clean, and reset tables while keeping the dining area tidy and welcoming.
- Restock service supplies and assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work with kitchen staff and other servers to keep service running smoothly.
- Follow food safety,
hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server or in a similar restaurant role.
- Valid Serving It Right certification.
- Confidence serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Friendly, professional communication and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tables and stay organized during busy periods.
- Familiarity with POS systems and accurate payment handling.
- A reliable, punctual approach and willingness to help teammates.
- Knowledge of food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of Thai cuisine is an asset; a willingness to learn our menu is essential.
