We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Restoration Labourer to join our Emergency Restoration Services Team. This position reports to our main office in Bolton at 27 Nixon Road, Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to approximately 4:00 pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- General labour related to flood and fire emergency mitigation
- Content cleaning and handling
- Tear out and demolition of drywall, plaster, flooring materials, etc.
- Content manipulation and documentation
- Clean and pile salvaged materials
- Remove rubble and other debris on job sites (post-construction clean up)
- Other tasks as assigned by the Restoration Crew Supervisor or Operations Supervisor
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Availability to work Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm approximately
- Participation in the rotating on-call schedule for after-hours Emergency Services
- CSA approved safety footwear
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in various environments
- Comfortability working in environments that may be contaminated with heavy smoke residue, mould and mildew, contaminated water or other unsanitary conditions
- Active participation in on-going training and safety certifications as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous work experience as a general laborer (or similar position) is preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to take direction and work well with others in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
