We are looking for a reliable, detail oriented General Labourer to join our shop team as a Back Bench Technician. In this role, you will do much more than basic material handling. You will be responsible for the final stages of our production process, which includes but not limited to, inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet strict quality tolerances, etching part numbers, de-burring/finishing and safely packaging items for transit.

Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Inspection: Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc) to check that finished parts are accurate and within specified tolerances
- Part Etching/Engraving: Permanently engrave/etch part numbers and job numbers onto completed pieces according to drawings provided
- Back Bench Shop Work: Perform various finishing duties including but not limited to, de-burring , grinding, saw cutting and cleaning parts prepare them for final delivery
- Packaging and Shipping Prep: Carefully sort, count, bag/tag and box parts according to packaging specifications to prevent damage during shipping/transit
- General Shop Upkeep: Maintain clean, organized work area. Assist with loading/unloading materials as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
- Attention to Detail: Excellent eyesight and precision to spot small defects and accurately verify part dimensions
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and comfortably lift up to 50lbs
- Manual Dexterity: Experience working safely with hand tools, power tools, computers and basic machinery
- Reliability: Punctual, with robust work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Experience(Asset but not required): Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing plant is a plus but we will train the right candidate
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
