WSP is inviting applications for this long-term project, anticipated to begin in Q4 2026 and span approximately five years. As a Geotechnical Field Technician, you will conduct construction monitoring and geotechnical investigations, ensuring secure project delivery. Your expertise will guide important construction decisions and maintain safety standards throughout the field activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote a strong safety culture on site • Monitor geotechnical drilling investigations • Conduct Portable Nuclear Gauge testing and subgrade evaluations • Install and maintain geotechnical instrumentation • Coordinate with contractors and engineers for field operations
Requirements: • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field • Experience with soil sampling and construction monitoring • Knowledge of geotechnical instrumentation • Valid Alberta driver's license • Ability to work in oil sands camp environment
