Position Overview:

The Health and Safety Advisor is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and monitoring health and safety hazards in the workplace. Developing strategies to prevent, control, and eliminate accidents and occupational injuries, ensuring compliance with both organizational and government health and safety standards. Additionally, the Advisor manages the claims process for Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claims, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, tracking,



and resolution.

This role is crucial for fostering a safe, compliant, and supportive work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- A Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in health and safety management and claims administration (STD/LTD/WSIB).
- Ability to work flexible schedule and travel as required.
- Must possess a valid Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle.
- Must complete a criminal records check satisfactory to Dilico.

Hours of Work: 35 weekly
