Job Summary The HR Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative, operational, and project support to the HR team,



working closely with the HR Manager and HR Business Partner (HRBP) to ensure the effective delivery of HR programs, processes, and initiatives across the business.

Major Responsibilities

Recruitment/Onboarding

- Assist with pre-screens, scheduling interviews, background and reference checks.
- Liaise with co-op placement offices to assist with student placements.
- Assist in recruitment blitzes and job fairs as required.
- Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure current hires are assigned required equipment and IT systems prior to start date.

Payroll & Benefits

- Process biweekly payroll in QuickBooks and ADP and prepare reports for secondary approval.
- Ensure all new hires and departing employees are processed accurately.
- Administer year-end activities in a timely manner.
- Ensure benefit enrolments are processed and administered accurately.

Employee Engagement

- Provide superior service to all employees in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and issue employee surveys.
- Arrange and promote social events and activities to promote teambuilding.

Training & Development

- Assist with training related activities, including filing of documentation.

Other

- Assist department with HR related projects and initiatives.
- Administer and track employee work permits including OINP.




- Various reporting and administration/document control.

Qualifications

- Post secondary degree/diploma in human resources management.
- 1-2 years HR experience working at an administrator or coordinator level.
- Access to a vehicle and hold a valid Ontario driver’s license to travel to office locations within the GTA.
- Working knowledge of payroll software (QB and ADP Run and TotalSource preferred), including HRIS highly preferred. Knowledge of US payroll considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills, with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Flexible to work extended hours when needed to address time sensitive business matters.
- Strong collaboration skills to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners.

Job Demands and Working Conditions

- Office setting with occasional visits to offsite production facilities.
- Effectively perform in a fast-paced environment, with changing deadlines.
- Required to wear PPE (hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes) when onsite at production facilities.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Education:
