Inclusive Marketing and Social Media Coach

Inclusion Foothills has a creative and rewarding position available within the H.I.R.E. project’s team of specialists: We are looking for an Inclusive Marketing & Social Media Coach.
This role combines creativity, communication, and community connection. You’ll promote our programs and events, celebrate the achievements of the people we support, create engaging social media content, and help raise awareness about disability inclusion and accessibility in employment.
Classification: Part time contract, 18 hours per week, Hybrid, Flexible Workdays
Rate of pay: $24.10 per hour
Location: Okotoks and High River, Alberta
Contract: Six months, ending March 20, 2027
Closing date: September 30, 2026

About the Role:
The Inclusive Marketing and Social Media Coach creates accessible content that raises awareness of Inclusion Foothills and its H.I.R.E. (Having Inclusive Rewarding Employment) program. Working with staff, leadership, and community partners, the coach strengthens community connections and represents disability and inclusive employment respectfully and authentically. Through vibrant and clear messaging targeting the business community, qualified participants within the H.I.R.E. program will be matched with employers seeking to enhance their workplace through inclusive employment opportunities.
The successful candidate will bring creativity, strong communication skills,
and a commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
Marketing & Storytelling
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, websites, promotional materials, and campaigns.
- Share stories that celebrate the achievements, talents, interests, and contributions of people with disabilities.
- Promote programs, events, fundraising initiatives, and organizational milestones.
- Create photos, videos, graphics, and written content that bring our mission to life.
- Work with individuals, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners to identify meaningful stories and opportunities.
Social Media
- Manage and maintain the organization’s social media platforms.
- Plan, create, schedule, and monitor content.
- Respond to comments and messages while fostering a welcoming online community.
- Track engagement and use insights to improve our reach and impact.
- Stay current with social media trends and creative opportunities.
Inclusion & Accessibility
- Ensure communications are respectful, authentic, accessible, and inclusive.
- Incorporate accessibility practices such as captions, alternative text, plain language, and accessible design.
- Work with people with lived experience to ensure their voices and stories are represented with dignity and choice.
- Help challenge stereotypes and promote greater understanding of disability within the community.
Qualifications & Skills
- · Experience in marketing, communications, social media,
public relations, digital media, or a related field.
- · Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience creating content for multiple platforms.
- · Understanding of inclusive, respectful, and accessible communication.
- · Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools; Canva, graphic design, photography, or video experience is an asset.
- · Strong organization, creativity, collaboration, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- · Ability to work respectfully with people with diverse backgrounds, communication styles, and abilities.
Requirements:
- · Provide recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- · Ability to commute between High River and Okotoks as required.
Work Setting:
- · Travel between Okotoks and High River as needed.
- · Primarily indoor work under fluorescent lighting, with occasional travel in local weather conditions.
Job Requirements:
- · Ability to lift approximately 15 lb and to sit, walk, or navigate stairs and uneven ground for extended periods.
- · Ability to use computer-based technology, with audio and visual supports available as required.
- · Ability to maintain focus, solve problems, learn new tools, communicate clearly, and manage changing priorities and deadlines.
- · Ability to respond to challenging interactions with tact, empathy, and professionalism.
