This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building trust, fostering inclusion, & helping people navigate resources that improve their well-being.ResponsibilitiesBuild meaningful relationships with individuals, families, & community groupsActively participate in outreach activities, events, & initiatives across SaskatoonIdentify gaps in service & advocate for community needsHelp community members access services related to mental health, family support, housing, employment, & moreBuild & maintain relationships with stakeholders to support project goals & sustainability.Work closely with internal teams & external partnersSupport projects that promote inclusion, equity,
& community wellness.Share information about our programs and services through outreach, social media, & community networks.Develop & distribute promotional materials.Maintain accurate records of outreach activities & community interactions.Administrative/record keeping dutiesAble to work independently & as a teamPerform work outside of regular operating hours, including evenings &/or weekendsPerform other duties neededEducationBSW, Education, Community Development, or a related fieldKnowledgeExperience in community outreach, social services, or related fieldsStrong interpersonal & communication skillsKnowledge of Saskatoons community landscape & social service systemsCultural competency & experience working with diverse populationsProficiency in digital communication tools & social mediaLived experience or deep understanding of barriers faced by marginalized communitiesCulturally sensitive & adept at working with Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, & newcomer populationsValid drivers license & access to a personal vehicleThis position is in-scope, CUPE Local 5316.Final candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.#J-18808-Ljbffr
