- delegated authority from Transport Canada, the incumbent will make findings of compliance for EMC-related certification activities, ensuring that aircraft systems are protected against electromagnetic threats including EMI, HIRF, lightning, and ESD.
- Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, Transport Canada DAD or DAR delegation in the EMC discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of electromagnetic theory, EMI/EMC, signal integrity, transmission lines, antennas, and propagation.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., 14 CFR / CAR 525, including fuel tank safety and electromagnetic effects requirements).
- Interpret and apply certification regulations (e.g., TCCA, FAA, EASA) related to EMC, lightning protection, and HIRF.
