Role Description This full-time remote Insurance Broker role involves advising clients on personal and commercial insurance coverage, assessing risk profiles, and recommending tailored insurance solutions.
The Insurance
Broker will generate and qualify leads, prepare quotes, negotiate terms with insurers, and manage policy renewals and adjustments.
Responsibilities include providing responsive customer service, handling inquiries and claims support, and maintaining accurate documentation in brokerage systems.
The role also includes staying current on industry trends and products, collaborating with internal teams to improve processes, and supporting clients with basic financial and retirement planning considerations related to their insurance needs.
Qualifications
- Robust knowledge of Insurance Brokerage and Insurance products, with experience advising clients on coverage options.
- Understanding of Finance principles, including risk management and basic retirement planning concepts.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to build trust, explain complex information clearly, and resolve issues effectively.
- Relevant provincial insurance licensing (e.g., RIBO or equivalent) and a track record in brokerage or related financial services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities in a remote work environment.
- Comfort with digital tools and CRM or brokerage management systems; solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and ongoing professional development.
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is an asset.
