Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing complex welding tasks using various techniques, interpreting detailed blueprints and schematics, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help us deliver durable, precision-engineered metal components for a wide range of industrial applications.

Responsibilities

- Perform welding operations using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and plasma cutting techniques to fabricate metal structures and components.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and measuring devices such as schematics to ensure precise assembly and fit-up.
- Operate machinery including cranes and forklift to assist in fabrication tasks.
- Apply rigging skills for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely during assembly or installation.




- Conduct quality inspections using basic math skills and measuring tools to verify dimensions and weld integrity.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and participating in regular safety audits.

Skills

- Extensive experience with MIG welding, TIG welding and general welding practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machining tools such as hand tools efficiently.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation, forklift handling, and shop safety standards.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality control and safety compliance.
