As an Apprentice, you will engage in a comprehensive program involving graduate-level coursework and practical experience under expert supervision. Your training will enable you to provide essential mobility training and client-centered rehabilitation services. This role emphasizes independence and confidence for those who are blind or partially sighted, making your work vital in their everyday lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete supervised practical experience for certification
• Provide consultation support to clients and families
• Maintain accurate case data and service tracking
• Teach mobility skills and spatial awareness techniques
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for holistic support
Requirements:
• Knowledge of working with individuals with vision loss
• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Human Services, or similar
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt programs for diverse client needs
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedule
