Take on a crucial role as a Pathologist Assistant in the Pathology Department at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. This part-time opportunity involves essential duties related to specimen examination and processing.

In this position, you will perform gross examinations, assist in post-mortem analysis, and ensure proper handling and storage of tissue specimens. Teaching current staff and engaging with medical residents form a critical part of this role, emphasizing your effective communication skills. You will also contribute to the maintenance of procedure manuals and quality management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct gross examination of all tissue types • Assist in and setup post-mortem examinations • Engage in specimen photography for documentation • Participate in educational presentations and training • Ensure compliance with laboratory policies

Requirements: • Master’s degree in Pathologist Assistance or equivalent • Minimum of 3 years' experience in pathology setting • Certification from recognized pathology council desired • Strong organizational and interpersonal capabilities • Commitment to continuous education and quality standards
