We are looking for a full timeSenior Machinistin Truro, NS, who will provide services both in our machine shop and on-site, using conventional machining equipment, CNC equipment, and portable machining gear.We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes:Competitive hourly rate: $35 –$37/hourGenerous RPP matching program 5%(after one year)Full benefits (medical, dental, LTD, life insurance) shared costsPersonal & Professional Development OpportunitiesFree parkingSet up and operate CNC and/or manual machines (lathe, mill, etc.).Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Machine components to tight tolerances.Maintain a safe and efficient workspace.Work from blueprints, drawings, and real-world parts to produce high-quality components with precision and attention to detail.Operate a range of manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc.) in a hands-on, skill-driven environment.Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) to ensure every part meets exact specifications.Build, modify, and repair custom jigs and fixtures that support both shop and field operations.Diagnose and solve mechanical challenges—this is a role for someone who enjoys figuring things out, not just running parts.Perform preventative maintenance and equipment upkeep to keep operations running smoothly.Support in office machining work when required,
