Local Lawns Landscaping Ltd. is hiring Landscape Crew Leads. This is a lead role, not a labourer role. You'll run a small crew on residential landscape construction jobs across Calgary and Chestermere, from tear-out to final cleanup.

We're owner-run and based in Chestermere. We do landscape construction only: sod replacement and new sod, grading, drainage, rock, fences, patios and retaining walls. We run our own Bobcat track loader and trailers, and we're WCB covered and insured.

What You'll Do

- Run a crew of 2 to 3 on site, from the start of the day to the final walkthrough
- Operate our Bobcat track loader for tear-out, excavation and moving material
- Grade yards to proper slope and drainage before sod, rock or patios go in
- Install sod, rock, edging and drainage to a high standard
- Tow our dump trailer and enclosed trailer between suppliers, the dump and job sites
- Keep jobs on schedule, sites clean and secure, and homeowners informed




- Train labourers and hold the crew to our quality standard

Requirements

- Skid steer or compact track loader experience
- Grading experience for sod, patios or drainage
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and comfortable towing a loaded trailer
- Landscape construction or site work experience
- Able to lead a small crew and talk with homeowners
- Reliable, fine with early starts and outdoor work in all weather

Nice to Have

- Sod installation, rock or hardscape experience
- First Aid or fall protection tickets
- Clean driver's abstract

Pay and Schedule

- $25 to $30 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time with early starts
- Work runs through November and the season restarts in May. We're looking for leads who come back each season.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
