- Deep, recent experience personally building and deploying production GenAI, RAG or agentic systems.
- Advanced Python and solid software-design, API, asynchronous-processing, testing and debugging skills.
- Strong understanding of retrieval, context engineering, model behaviour, structured generation, agents, evaluation and observability.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate recent personal code contributions to production GenAI systems.

Experience limited to architecture oversight, technical management, notebooks or demonstrations is insufficient.

- Practical experience with Azure AI services and/or Databricks, with the ability to work productively across both.
- Experience integrating AI services with enterprise data and application systems.
- Strong SQL and production data-engineering capability, including data profiling, transformation, quality validation, schema evolution, lineage and reliable batch or event-driven pipelines.
- Experience implementing security, resilience, error handling and operational telemetry in production services.
- Ability to lead technically while remaining a substantial individual contributor.
