Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Shipper/Receiver to oversee the efficient coordination of shipping and receiving operations within our warehouse. This pivotal role involves supervising team members, managing inventory movements, and ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and promptly. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

As a key player in our supply chain, you will ensure seamless warehouse distribution, uphold safety standards, and contribute to continuous operational enhancements to meet business goals.

Duties

- Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities, including order picking, packaging, and loading/unloading shipments.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely dispatches.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), SAP, ERP systems, and AS400 to track inventory movements and update records accurately.
- Oversee the use of forklifts and other heavy lifting equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels through data analysis skills and implement process improvements for efficiency gains.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies during all operations.
- Lead team meetings, provide training on best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse distribution setting.




- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows, Outlook, SAP, ERP systems, and warehouse management systems like Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Bilingual in English and French is preferred; excellent communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, order picking techniques, packaging standards, and e-commerce logistics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate forklifts or other material handling equipment with certification preferred.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers and purchasing procedures is advantageous.
- Strong analysis skills for data review and process optimization; experience with AS400 or similar legacy systems is a plus.
