Become a Senior Policy Analyst at the Assembly of First Nations, focusing on children and families in Ottawa. This full-time, permanent role offers a chance to influence First Nations policies through research and analysis.

As a Senior Policy Analyst, your responsibilities will involve analyzing key legislation, specifically Bill C-92, while working closely with First Nations stakeholders. You will leverage your analytical skills to develop innovative policies and communicate insights effectively. This position is integral to aligning AFN’s national strategies with the rights and needs of First Nations communities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and report on relevant statistical data
• Engage with key stakeholders to develop supportive policies




• Write briefing and correspondence materials as necessary
• Maintain datasets and assist in strategic planning processes
• Organize and support community consultations and meetings

Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary degree with 3+ years of policy experience
• Expertise in First Nations rights and child welfare
• Robust analytical and communication skills
• Familiarity with data management systems
• Proficiency in English and French is an advantage
