About the Role

McEwan TD is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Line Cook to support our weekday breakfast and lunch operations in a fast-paced PATH location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured morning service, takes pride in food quality, and can execute efficiently during high-volume periods.

Key Responsibilities

Breakfast Preparation

- Execute daily breakfast menu items with consistency and speed, including egg-based dishes, breakfast sandwiches, hot proteins, and grab-and-go offerings
- Prepare and portion ingredients in advance to ensure a smooth and efficient morning service
- Maintain quality, presentation, and proper holding standards for all breakfast items
- Monitor inventory levels for breakfast service and communicate restocking needs

Lunch Support

- Assist with lunch mise-en-place including chopping, portioning, sauce preparation, and station setup
- Support hot and cold line execution during peak lunch periods, ensuring timely and accurate order completion
- Work across stations as required, including sandwiches, salads, hot entrées, and daily features




- Ensure seamless transition from breakfast to lunch service, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout

General Kitchen Duties

- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by McEwan
- Assist with receiving, storage, and rotation of products
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service flow and uphold brand standards

Qualifications

- Previous line cook or prep cook experience in a rapid-paced kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of breakfast cookery and high-volume service execution
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Food Handler Certification
- Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented
