Job DescriptionThe Department of Physics at the University of Alberta invites applications for the Avadh Bhatia Women’s Postdoctoral Fellowship. This position is an initial appointment of two years and offers a $60,000.00 annual stipend (50% from supervising faculty, 50% from an endowment).LocationThis role is in‑person and primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.ResponsibilitiesConduct research in space physics, condensed matter physics, astrophysics, biophysics, geophysics, or subatomic physics.QualificationsPhD in physics or a related research area.Application InstructionsContact one or more Department of Physics faculty members in your field of research to obtain a letter of nomination. Your nominator will act as your supervisor during the fellowship.Obtain three (3) letters of reference (one of which can be from the nominator).Prepare a CV and a statement of research interests.Confirm that the requirements for the PhD were completed no more than 60 months prior to the anticipated start date (exemptions for documented maternity, parental,
