Accountabilities

OH&S;:

- Manage the Resort’s Health and Safety Program including management of the OH&S; Binder content, OH&S; Departmental Board content, contractor OH&S; program, working with People Managers to ensure Risk Assessments and SOP’s are reviewed annually, and ensuring WHMIS and all other training is compliant with regulations and COR Guidelines.

- Oversee investigations to ensure they are properly completed.

- Manage all aspects of the COR audit process including facilitating the completion of the action plan created from the recommendations in the audits.

- Manage the Safety Talk & Workplace Inspection programs, tracking progress, following up on outstanding items and actions.

- Provide relevant trend data to the Senior Leadership Team regularly.

- Manage the Resort’s WHMIS program (MSDSonline), prepare the annual AFE and assisting staff with basic functions of the online database.

- Deliver OH&S; training to staff as needed.

- Manage the function of the Joint OH&S; Committee, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, training, following up on action items, organizing the food & beverage component, holding annual votes of committee co-chairs, reviewing the Terms of Reference annually, scheduling semi-annual Workplace Inspections conducted by the committee and more.

- Maintain and submit the WSBC Report to the RCR Calgary office.

- Participate in Bi-Weekly RCR HR Conference Calls.

Disability Management

- Manage the resort workplace claims process. This includes, but is not limited to,



reporting of workplace reportable injuries to WorkSafeBC and overseeing the Near Miss/Accident/Injury reporting process, maintaining communication with the injured employee.

- Manage the disability claims process by completing disability application forms, advising staff on the disability process and communicating with the disability carriers, rehabilitation therapists, WorkSafeBC and 3rd party representatives (benefit consultants, etc).

- Manage the Return-to-Work Program by consulting with managers, evaluating stay at work and return to work options in order to make recommendations based on the medical practitioner’s assessments.

Wellness

- Develop and implement wellness programs to raise awareness of issues related to employee wellness including fitness, nutrition, mental, social and emotional health. Promote safe and healthy choices.

- Administer the Employee Assistance Program offered through RBC Insurance.

- Use various communication channels such as employee meetings and the newsletter to promote the wellness program in such a manner that program goals and objectives are achieved.

- Participate in at least 8 hours of professional development training per year related to relevant topics.

- Liaise with related community agencies (Golden Family Centre, etc).





- Access and distribute resources regarding all aspects of wellness.

- Coordinate referrals to outside agencies when appropriate.

Other

- Participate in Weekly Manager Meetings.

- Submit Weekly Report.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous post secondary education in Health Sciences an asset.

- Minimum 3 years previous experience in an administration or coordination role.

- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to write professional correspondence.

- High level of experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

- Demonstrated professional conduct, with ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, discretion and tact.

- Market-competitive salary: $48,039.17 - $54,589.96 /year, dependent on experience
