Duties
- Safely operate your own truck to transport freight to designated locations, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Conduct routine inspections of your vehicle to maintain optimal performance and identify any mechanical issues early
- Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery receipts, shipping manifests, and logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to plan routes efficiently and meet delivery schedules
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to minimize downtime during trips
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations while ensuring safety standards are upheld
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and schedules
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members
- Team needed with 1 year experience
