Join RBC as a Market Risk Analyst intern, supporting the Local Market Risk team with a focus on risk oversight and analysis. The role is set for Winter 2027, starting in January.
In this internship, you will work at the intersection of finance and risk management, analyzing trading strategies and supporting risk reporting. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with risk policies, collaborating on projects related to risk modernization, and identifying opportunities for process improvement using Python.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage market risk oversight for Global Commodities
• Ensure accuracy of key risk metrics in reports
• Analyze products for alignment with RBC’s risk tolerance
• Monitor trading activities for approved limits
• Collaborate across teams for project deliverables
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s/ Master’s in Finance, Economics or related field
• Experience with market risk concepts and derivatives
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of curiosity and collaboration
