Experience
Minimum3 years of experience in the metal machining industry, with a primary focus on:
Continuous improvement projects
Machine shop process and method improvement
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage and supportmanufacturing improvement projects from planning through implementation
Develop and maintainmachine shop documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation
Prepare and maintainCAM-related documentation with support from the CAM team
Identify and implementcontinuous improvement prospects within the machine shop
Supportmachine shop automation initiatives to improve productivity, quality, consistency,
and efficiency
Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, CAM, Engineering, and other departments to improve shop processes and resolve operational issues
Skills and Qualities
Robust fundamentals inmathematics, physics, and mechanical engineering are essential.
Being proactive and having a creative mindset can take you to the next level.
You also need to be detail-oriented, decisive, team-oriented, and willing to mentor and support others.
Education
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Compensation
Competitive starting salary:$60,000–$90,000
