Sport Medic Physiotherapy Clinic is looking for a dynamic, dedicated person to support our physiotherapist. The successful incumbent will report into the lead physiotherapists and is an essential member of the team. The Physiotherapy Assistant is someone who thrives working as part of interdisciplinary team, is collaborative, highly organized, and shows initiative.

Requirements are as follows

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Under the direction of physiotherapist, carry out treatment programs such as ultrasound, TENS, Interferential Current, and laser to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities to maximize their ability to independently manage daily activities.

· Assist in treatment planning and implementing exercise protocols · Monitor/supervise patients in the gym area

· Some laundry and cleaning duties to maintain infection prevention and control protocols

· Some front desk duties, this includes scheduling patients, maintaining patient files, processing payments, and answering the phone.

· Successful completion of a Physiotherapy Assistant Program,



Kinesiology Program, Athletic Therapist Program or Exercise Physiology Program or equivalent work-related experience.

· Registered and in good standing as a Physiotherapy Assistant or Kinesiologist.

· Strong working knowledge of anatomy and exercise physiology

· Some knowledge of Antibex Software; OHIP/WSIB/EHC/MVA processes and paperwork

· Detailed-oriented

· Ability to take direction from others

· Active listener with high degree of patience

· Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent time management skills

· Long periods of standing

· Substantial walking, standing, lifting, twisting, and bending.
