Role Description The Performance Test Engineer (Azure DevOps + OpenShift Container Platform) will design, implement, and execute performance test plans for applications deployed in Azure DevOps pipelines and OpenShift environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating test scripts, configuring test environments, and running load and stress tests to validate system scalability, stability, and responsiveness. The engineer will analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to recommend optimizations and track remediation efforts.

The role involves documenting test strategies, reporting results to stakeholders, and ensuring that performance standards align with business and technical requirements. This is a contract, hybrid role based in Toronto, ON, with a combination of on-site work and some work from home.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Test Execution and Testing, with experience designing and running automated and manual performance test suites.
- Hands-on expertise in Load Testing and Performance Analysis, including interpreting metrics,



diagnosing bottlenecks, and validating system scalability.
- Ability to define and implement a clear Test Strategy for performance, capacity, and reliability across Azure DevOps and OpenShift Container Platform environments.
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, CI/CD, test integration) and OpenShift Container Platform (container orchestration, monitoring, tuning).
- Proficiency with performance testing tools (e.g., NeoLoad, JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, networking, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present explicit findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in hybrid work environments and the ability to manage responsibilities both on-site and remotely.
