Role Description The Pharmacy Assistant is a part-time, in office role based in St Thomas, ON. This role supports the pharmacy team with day-to-day operations, including receiving and processing prescriptions, preparing medications for pharmacist review, and maintaining accurate patient records.

The Pharmacy

Assistant responds to customer inquiries at the counter and over the phone, provides friendly and informed service, and ensures a professional and organized work environment.



Daily responsibilities also include stocking shelves, monitoring inventory levels, managing orders, and assisting with labeling and packaging. The role works closely with pharmacists and other team members to uphold safety, privacy, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Ability to accurately process and support prescription-related tasks within a pharmacy setting.
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and basic inventory management practices.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment and collaborating within a team.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or retail setting is an asset.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant program or equivalent training is an advantage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as stocking and organizing products.
