Make an impact in North Vancouver as a temporary full-time Planner 2, focusing on development planning in the City’s urban landscape. You will be involved in site planning and public consultations.
In this key role within the Planning Development & Real Estate department, your specialized knowledge of policies and guidelines will guide the review of various development applications. This six-month position requires a proactive approach to managing projects and representing the City in public engagement. You will also work on drafting bylaw amendments and preparing comprehensive reports for Council.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate submitted studies and information from consultants • Recommend improvements to site planning and design • Lead public engagement processes with community stakeholders • Prepare technical reports for planning committees • Supervise and guide planning-related staff efforts
Requirements: • Degree in Community/Regional Planning or Urban Design • Relevant experience in development planning • Robust facilitation and presentation skills • Leadership in multi-disciplinary team settings • Membership eligibility in the Planning Institute of B.C.
