Sambrook Structures Ltd. is seeking a skilled Prefabricated Structure Carpenter to join our wood-frame prefabrication facility in Aldersyde, Alberta.

The successful candidate will work throughout our prefabrication operation preparing, cutting, fabricating and assembling structural wood-frame components in accordance with construction drawings, specifications and production requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Read and interpret construction drawings, wall layouts, specifications and cut lists.
- Measure, cut, shape and prepare lumber and other building materials for prefabricated wood-frame components.
- Fabricate and assemble prefabricated wall panels and other wood-frame structural components according to drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate automated and conventional cutting and woodworking equipment used in the fabrication process.
- Verify dimensions, materials and completed components for accuracy and conformity with specifications.
- Identify and correct fabrication or production issues to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate material preparation and workflow between cutting, fabrication, assembly and staging areas.
- Assist with organizing daily shop activities and production priorities.
- Assist and provide direction to other shop employees regarding fabrication methods, material requirements and production procedures.




- Maintain an organized and safe work area and comply with company health and safety procedures.
- Perform carpentry and prefabrication duties throughout the shop as required to meet production schedules.

Employment Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of carpentry, wood-frame construction, prefabrication or related experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, measurements and specifications.
- Experience using carpentry tools, saws and woodworking equipment.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut and assemble wood-frame components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including handling construction materials and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Carpentry apprenticeship or trade certification is an asset but is not required.

Work Conditions
- Permanent, full-time employment.
- 30-40 hours per week.
- Work performed at Sambrook Structures Ltd.'s prefabrication facility in Aldersyde, Alberta.
- Indoor/shop-based construction and prefabrication setting.
- Work involves standing, material handling, measuring, cutting, assembly and operation of woodworking equipment.

Pay: From $37.50 per hour
