Maintenance/Cleaning Attendant

What You'll Do

As our Maintenance/Cleaning Attendant, you will help ensure that our hotel remains in excellent condition for both our guests and employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Performing general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, drywall, and minor repairs.
- Clean and maintain offices, hallways, washrooms, common areas, and other facilities.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect equipment, facilities, and frequently touched surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Properly use cleaning products, tools, and equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform regular maintenance on standard PTAC heating/cooling units by cleaning and replacing air filters. Clear debris from vent screens and wipe down exterior grills.
- Prepare guest room and hallway walls by filling small holes, sanding, and applying primer. Tape off trim and perform regular paint touch-ups to fix scuffs.
- Routinely check public areas for safety,



replacing burned-out lightbulbs and reporting complex electrical or plumbing issues to management.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and team members.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2 years experience of hotel plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Previous experience in hotel, commercial, or residential building maintenance.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- French is required; English is an asset.
- Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 lbs.
