You will be responsible to design, update, test and maintain software and electronic hardware Equipment.
Design and provide schematic, PCB, bill of material of current and future instrument.
Assist with development and review in the design, modification, or add-on capabilities of an instrument.
B.Sc./B.Eng. (Software or Electrical preferred) with a focus on electronics and/or programming or Minimum 2-year Technical Diploma from College/CEGEP with work related experience in electronics and/or programming
Required
1-3 years of work experience
Programming in Microsoft visual studio with C, C++, C#. Experience with Python knowledge.
Microsoft Windows and Linux.
Micro-computer programming (Microchip, Atmel, Intel),
I/O interfaces.
The following additionally experience would be an asset:
Micro-Processor assembly programming
Electronics and PCB design
Knowledge of optics and lighting

Responsible for the programming and debugging of software, for both instrument electronics and UI/UX.
Assist in the development of new software, and modifications/add-on capabilities of existing instruments.
Provide support in the development of new instrument hardware, including electronic component selection, PCB design. electronic schematics, and preliminary bill of materials.
Review existing hardware for maintenance and potential upgrades, including electronic component selection, substitution, and equivalency analysis.
Assist sales and manufacturing teams by provide technical responses and support.
Perform sample testing, and write technical reports discussing results, and support sales team in its presentation to clients.
Software: Microsoft visual studio with c, c++, c# and micro-processor assembly.
Experience using standard electrical laboratory and development equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, component specifications, and related engineering documentation.
Strong Mathematical aptitude.
Design and debugging of electronics and PCBs, including schematics and prototypes.
Hands-on experience working within a research, engineering development, or rapid-prototyping environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Robust organizational and communication skills.
Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic and have demonstrated the discipline to work without a lot of structure or direct supervision.
