This exciting portfolio works with AB Infrastructure and AHS Capital Management on facility type projects such as new hospital builds, renovations, and staff re-locations. This is a temporary posted position to cover a maternity leave.

Health Shared Services IT Facility Projects Team is seeking a Project Manager to join our innovative team. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, from smaller initiatives to components of larger programs, all aimed at enhancing healthcare facilities across the province.

Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead, plan, and organize small projects or portions of larger projects/programs using standardized tools and techniques, managing multiple projects concurrently.

Team Coordination: Provide leadership and organization to project resource team members by monitoring, delegating, and reviewing work completed by the team, contractors, or other external stakeholders.

Schedule Management: Maintain schedules, prioritize, and monitor work plans and assignments to ensure timely delivery within program parameters.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively, manage expectations, and represent the organization’s interests to both internal and external stakeholders.

Meeting Facilitation: Lead and participate in meetings to document action items, user requirements, and issues.

Requirements Gathering: Gather user group requirements and build IT equipment lists for approval by Project Managers and stakeholders.

Risk Management: Support the project team in managing issues and risks, identifying and escalating risks, issues,



problems, and challenges to the Project Manager.

Documentation: Create project proposals and charters for smaller projects as required, and work within the PMO Methodology (PPM) Tool.

Financial Management: Monitor, maintain, and analyze budget and cost controls for the project/initiative. If you are a proactive and organized qualified with a passion for project management and a background in IT or clinical settings, we want to hear from you!

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or IT Polytechnic Certificate or equivalent experience, actively working towards a project management designation. A minimum of 5 years of project experience working in an IT or Clinical environment. Intermediate knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies.

Additional Required Qualifications

Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills are needed for this position. Projects require occasional onsite attendance, while staff conduct work functions, in all types of health care facilities including ones under construction.

Preferred Qualifications

Construction knowledge is an asset.
