Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

The Opportunity

You will be joining a team of high-performing project managers who work across the enterprise to support high-priority initiatives and strategic efforts. In this role, you will contribute to the development of project management best practices and thought leadership, while collaborating closely with project teams across Fidelity.

You will be part of the Corporate Development & Business Initiatives department, which supports business units across Fidelity Canada and reports to the CFO.

The Project Manager (PM) manages medium-to-large, cross-functional, strategic, or enterprise-wide initiatives tailoring the management and delivery approach to best to suit the needs of each project.





The PM is accountable for planning and executing projects by:

Determining project delivery approach, including predictive, adaptive, or hybrid methods where appropriate

Establishing project governance

Identifying resources required

Assembling the team and assigning duties to team members

Developing the project plan

Composing and tracking the project budget

Directing and managing day-to-day assigned tasks

Managing vendor and client relationships as required

Adhering to Fidelity project management best practices

Depending on business priorities and project complexity PM may be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What You Will Do

Prepare project charter and develop detailed project plans including detailed scope statements, schedule and budget estimates and baselines, resource plans, quality plans and success criteria.

Establish project communications, monitoring and control mechanisms.

Manage day-to-day project activities ensuring deliverables are met.

Proactively identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Lead project team(s) in a matrix environment, clarifying roles & responsibilities, providing individual direction and feedback and ensuring required communication support is in place.

Implement and utilize reporting and control mechanisms, and in particular project change management approaches,



to ensure the project's triple constraints (time, cost, performance: scope and quality) are well managed and status and issues are reported to sponsors, executive sponsors and senior management on a timely basis.

Support or coordinate vendor selection and vendor deliverable management in partnership with the accountable business/procurement teams.

Effectively manage relationships with executive sponsors (usually senior management team members)

Manage stakeholder expectations and influence decisions by aligning project outcomes with Fidelity's strategic priorities.

What We're Looking For

University degree (bachelor's degree) or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3+ years of experience managing projects, preferably in financial services or another regulated environment.

PMP certification or equivalent project management experience/certification The Expertise You Bring

Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, negotiation, influence, and customer relationship management skills.

Understanding of project management best practice standards, procedures, methodologies, and guidelines.

Ability to understand and communicate the broader picture to all stakeholders and demonstrate an understanding of stakeholder interests (both business and technical).

Ability to determine and adopt most suitable project management approach for a given project.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to learn and adopt evolving industry best practices.
