R&D; Scientist / Engineer – OLED & Sensor Fabrication & Characterization

Sentia Technologies is a Canadian deep-tech company developing next-generation printed and flexible sensor technologies. We are looking for a hands-on R&D; Scientist/Engineer with experience in OLEDs, sensors, thin-film device fabrication, and characterization to join our team in Burnaby, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and optimize OLED and optoelectronic devices
- Fabricate and characterize printed, flexible, and electronic sensors
- Perform thin-film deposition using techniques such as spin coating, blade coating, slot-die coating, screen printing, and/or inkjet printing
- Conduct electrical, optical, structural, and surface characterization of materials, thin films, and devices
- Characterize device performance, including electrical response, stability, sensitivity, and other relevant parameters
- Work with functional materials, electrodes, metal oxides, polymers, and semiconductor layers
- Analyze experimental data and troubleshoot fabrication and device-performance issues
- Develop and optimize fabrication and characterization protocols
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and experimental documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum Master's degree; PhD preferred in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Nanotechnology, or a closely related field
- Hands-on experience in OLED fabrication and/or sensor fabrication and characterization is strongly preferred
- Experience with thin-film processing and device characterization
- Familiarity with characterization techniques such as I-V measurements, spectroscopy, microscopy, profilometry, AFM, SEM, or related techniques is an asset
- Experience with printed electronics, flexible electronics, organic electronics, OLEDs, sensors, or semiconductor devices is highly desirable
- Strong experimental, troubleshooting, and data-analysis skills
- Ability to independently perform laboratory work and collaborate within an R&D; team
Location Candidates should currently reside in Metro Vancouver and be able to work in office in Burnaby, BC.
Graduates and researchers from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and the University of British Columbia (UBC) are especially encouraged to apply.

Pay: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
