Position Summary
As a key member of the GFL Acheson team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders while delivering operational support across departments. Working closely with the Payroll Administrator, you will also handle payroll processing duties and ensure timely, accurate support. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly professional individual with a positive attitude who takes initiative and consistently goes above and beyond to deliver extraordinary customer service.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Professionally greet visiting clients and vendors, answer phone calls, and build positive rapport with callers while identifying and resolving customer needs.
- Assist with accurate and timely payroll processing in close collaboration with the Payroll Administrator.
- Confirm the accuracy of paperwork against system records and handle routine data entry tasks.
- Maintain office supply inventory, handle regular ordering, manage filing and copying, and support general administrative functions as required.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries, while coordinating outgoing couriers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of combined experience in administrative support, reception, and basic payroll processing.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paired with a strong work ethic, professional attitude, and personal accountability.
- Proficient with Google Workspace and payroll software applications, with fast, accurate data entry and keying skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to collaborate seamlessly in a team workplace while working autonomously with minimal supervision.
