Support children and youth’s behavioral needs as a Behaviour Consultant with Halton Region, offering flexibility and a hybrid work setting in Oakville. Your expertise will build family capacity and enhance community services.
In this role, you will report to the Supervisor of Inclusion Services and work closely with children aged two to twenty-one who have developmental disabilities. You’ll provide skills training, facilitate meetings, and deliver community-based education, emphasizing evidence-based practices. Bring your knowledge to strengthen the network of support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide consultations in various community settings
• Develop collaborative family plans and assessments
• Facilitate community seminars and parent groups
• Keep documentation accurate and current
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
• Degree in psychology, social work, or related field
• Two years’ relevant experience supporting behavioral needs
• Proficient in behavioral assessment techniques
• Experience with reflective and coaching approaches
• Willingness to travel for home and community visits
