Provide expert mechanics services at Finning Canada as a Heavy Equipment Technician, located in Yellowknife, NT. Focus on troubleshooting and repair of Caterpillar machinery in a safe setting.
In this role reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will oversee equipment repairs, interface with customers, and assist in on-site safety practices. Dedicated to maintaining Finning's commitment to customer service, you'll also gain experience with various manufacturer engines and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar equipment efficiently
• Work closely with customers for support and service
• Collaborate with the Supervisor on maintenance tasks
• Uphold strict safety standards during operations
• Execute various related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Journeyperson certification in Heavy Equipment Technician
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction
• Familiarity with Caterpillar products an advantage
• Hydraulic and engine rebuilding experience is a plus
