Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Security Manager, this position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external) and the company's assets while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
- Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
- Escorts cash/cash equivalents
- Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
- Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
- Escorts guests and team members as directed
- Performs identification checks as required
- Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
- Performs crowd control as directed
- May perform electronic surveillance of non-gaming facilities, including exterior and adjacent properties at some locations
- May enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Serving it Right Certificate
- Security license an asset
- Guard Force Training an asset
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate an asset
- Must be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
