Responsibilities Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
Clean and prepare surfaces
Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
Smooth out excess compound and allow coating to dry
Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Qualifications Required Language: English
Required Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Required Experience: 1 Year to less than 2 Years
Travel & Location Work sites vary throughout Ontario; frequent travel is required. Company car will be provided for transportation and hotels for stays.
Work Environment Work Site Setting: At heights and dusty.
Physical Requirements Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, physically demanding and standing for extended periods.
