HDSB is looking for a temporary full-time School Social Worker to begin immediately. This position focuses on delivering vital support in mental health and behavioral issues while collaborating with educational staff and community partners. Responsibilities include short-term counseling, case management, and facilitating support for students, parents, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop supportive strategies for student success
• Implement culturally responsive and anti-oppressive practices
• Provide support for students during transitions and challenges




• Facilitate conflict resolution, anger management and social skills training
• Contribute to efforts in bullying prevention and intervention

Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work is required
• Current membership with the Ontario College of Social Workers
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
• Access to reliable transportation
• Experience with vulnerable populations preferred
