Become a Groundsperson 1 in our Facility Services division, responsible for the upkeep of outdoor grounds. This position is limited duration until March 14, 2027, and offers $29.02 hourly starting July 2024.

In this role, you will work collaboratively to maintain playfields and manage landscaping needs. Core duties include operating grounds maintenance machinery, conducting turf care, and ensuring facilities are secure and clean. Your skills will be crucial in instructing coworkers on equipment usage and maintaining a well-organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handle and operate grounds maintenance equipment
• Maintain playground facilities and install equipment
• Manage snow shoveling and litter collection
• Ensure turf grass and irrigation maintenance
• Oversee training of colleagues as needed

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in related work
• Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License required
• Knowledge of safety protocols necessary
• Strong organizational and communicative skills
