The Chief Mine Geologist position at Lake Shore Gold focuses on supervising geological activities and developing the geology team. Working in a full time capacity, you'll be involved in critical processes including grade control management and mine planning oversight. Candidates should be prepared to take the lead on geological data management and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the daily management of grade control and geological data
• Ensure occupational health and safety adherence
• Guide the preparation of mine layouts and geological models
• Review and contribute to operational mining plans
• Propose and manage geological budgets annually
Requirements:
• Required B.Sc in Geology and P.Geo in good standing
• 8-10 years’ experience in underground gold mining
• Proven leadership and organizational capabilities
• Experience with relevant geological software
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
