Your work will involve helping individuals with mental health issues, substance use, or homelessness while operating as part of the 24/7 crisis support team. The position emphasizes quick assessments and effective referrals to housing and health services, requiring a collaborative effort with local service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and plan safety measures for those in crisis
• Provide crisis intervention to minimize harm
• Refer individuals to needed community and health services
• Use harm reduction processes and overdose techniques effectively
• Drive the 24/7 Crisis Diversion Van for client transport
Requirements:
• Clean class non-GDL 5 driver's license and driving record
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years in community-based services
• Familiarity with Indigenous culture is advantageous
• Current Police and Child and Youth Intervention Checks
