Become a Crisis Diversion Specialist at Boyle Street Community Services, focusing on compassionate support for individuals facing crises. This full time role engages with marginalized individuals requiring urgent assistance and service connections.

Your work will involve helping individuals with mental health issues, substance use, or homelessness while operating as part of the 24/7 crisis support team. The position emphasizes quick assessments and effective referrals to housing and health services, requiring a collaborative effort with local service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and plan safety measures for those in crisis
• Provide crisis intervention to minimize harm
• Refer individuals to needed community and health services




• Use harm reduction processes and overdose techniques effectively
• Drive the 24/7 Crisis Diversion Van for client transport

Requirements:
• Clean class non-GDL 5 driver's license and driving record
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years in community-based services
• Familiarity with Indigenous culture is advantageous
• Current Police and Child and Youth Intervention Checks
