Become a part of the IWK Health team in Halifax as a Medical Laboratory Technologist II focused on Microbiology. This role centers on bacterial culture interpretation and QA in a state-of-the-art lab setting.

As a full-time position in the Microbiology Lab, you'll engage in hands-on specimen processing and operation of advanced lab technologies. Your focus on quality management will ensure compliance with health standards while you work in a diverse and inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process a variety of microbiological specimens
• Read and report on bacterial cultures accurately
• Manage laboratory instrumentation operations and troubleshooting
• Oversee quality management processes and audits
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues in the lab

Requirements:
• Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or BMLS
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience
• Recent microbial culture reporting experience required
• CSMLS certification or eligibility
• Proven organizational and teamwork capabilities
