As part of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services, this role conducts comprehensive assessments and provides therapy for youth engaged with the justice system. You’ll work under the Ministry of Children & Family Development, using your knowledge and skills to contribute positively to adolescents' lives during critical moments. Your clinical expertise will be essential in shaping effective treatment plans and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct court-ordered mental health evaluations
• Provide therapeutic support for psychological issues
• Prepare assessment reports for judicial consideration
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Implement and oversee treatment recommendations
Requirements:
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with registration in BC
• Minimum of three years in Clinical Adolescent Psychology
• Preferred training in Forensic Psychology
• Successful Criminal Record Check clearance
